Battlefords RCMP had a busy 24-hour period between 6 a.m. Saturday, April 12 and 6 a.m. Sunday, April 13 when they responded to about 40 calls for service/occurrences.

Battlefords RCMP had a busy 24-hour period between 6 a.m. Saturday, April 12 and 6 a.m. Sunday, April 13 when they responded to about 40 calls for service/occurrences.

Among those were three false/nuisance 911 calls, one false alarm and two traffic related offences.

Saturday

6:57/7:22 a.m. - Report of a man breaching his release conditions by drinking. Not immediately located, investigation ongoing.

7:50 a.m. - Complaint of man unable to pay for gas on Railway Avenue. Came to civil agreement.

9:57 a.m. - Report of attempted break and enter to a residence in the 1400 block of 94th Street. Investigation ongoing.

10:59 a.m. - Report of intoxicated people in the bushes near Railway Avenue. A 43-year-old man arrested for obstruction for providing a false name, charges pending.

1:00 p.m. - Complaint of harassing phone calls and text messages. Investigation ongoing.

1:21 p.m. - Complaint through 911 of a pregnant woman coming into a residence in the 1400 block of 111th Street and assaulting the occupants. Argument over $25 owed. No charges laid.

1:49 p.m. - A 50-year-old man arrested after a report of intoxicated people in a business in the 1200 block of 101st Street. Charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act.

2:30 p.m. - Complaint of intoxicated people on 11th Avenue near 101st Street. Two men, aged 44 and 45, were arrested, as well as a 41-year-old woman. All facing charges under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act. The woman was also found to have an outstanding warrant.

5:32 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated man passed out in a running vehicle in Riverview. A 23-year-old man was arrested and later released with impaired care or control charges pending.

5:37 p.m. - Complaint of a man not paying $7.50 cab fare but forgot his phone. Phone at RCMP detachment if he wants it back.

5:50 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated woman passed out at the library. A 47-year-old woman was arrested and later released, charges pending for breaching release conditions.

6:57 p.m. - Complaint of a man and woman fighting in an alley between 108th and 107th Street. Both found to be intoxicated and were arrested and held for sobering.

8:26 p.m. - Report of a man walking on the railroad tracks. Not located.

9:01 p.m. - 48-year-old man arrested after being found intoxicated in the 1100 block of 100th Street.

9:14 p.m. - Complaint of a suspicious man wearing dark clothing with a backpack and walking stick. Same found and nothing suspicious.

9:48 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated 29-year-old man unwanted at a residence on Trudeau Street. Arrested and held for sobering.

10:45 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave a business on Railway Avenue. A 21-year-old man was arrested and held for sobering.

11:30 p.m. - Complaint of a house egged on Bowers Drive. Egger not located.

Sunday

12:31 a.m. - Report of someone banging on the door of a residence in the 1600 block of 100th Street. Unknown person had left prior to police arrival.

12:44am- Report of an altercation at a business on Railway Avenue East. A 35-year-old man arrested and will be appearing in court on Monday facing charges of breaching court ordered conditions of a curfew and not to consume alcohol.

3:23 a.m. - A 20-year-old man arrested after being found to be in breach of conditions to abstain from alcohol.

3:56 a.m. - Complaint of people checking out vehicles on Hamelin Street. Patrols negative.
