A Prince Albert man accused of killing his son and parents and attempting to kill his daughter had another court appearance scheduled Oct. 6 but the matter was adjourned again.

Nathaniel Carrier, 28, is charged with first-degree murder in connection to the deaths of his mother Sandra Henry, 56, father Denis Henry, 56, and son, Bentlee, 7. He is also charged with the attempted murder of his daughter, Kendrah, 5.

Prince Albert Police found the family murdered on Sunday, March 29 inside their home located at 315 McArthur Drive after a family member asked police to conduct a welfare check. Police say evidence suggests the murders occurred on Saturday, March 28. Carrier’s daughter was still alive and was taken to a Saskatoon hospital before being flown to an Edmonton hospital. She has since been released from hospital. Her family has requested that the children’s last names not be used.

When police arrived at the scene they say Nathaniel Carrier was missing, along with his father Denis’vehicle. The vehicle was found in La Ronge. Carrier was arrested in Prince Albert without incident on March 31.

Police say Carrier lived at the home with his parents and two children. Neighbours say they didn’t see Nathaniel Carrier often but they described his parents as “really, really nice” and “always cheerful.”

Carrier is now scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Nov. 13.
