It looks like something may happen soon with respect to a couple of rundown houses on 99th Street and 19th Avenue.
The houses are located behind the vacant Shell station on 100th Street.
The issue was raised at council Monday by Councillor Don Buglas, who noted concerns about the houses from residents there.
"One lady said she walks by there on a regular basis," said Buglas. "She said 'it's starting to make her feel a little nervous.'"
Others said the building looked unkempt-looking and "rough," said Buglas.
It looks, though, as if those houses will ultimately be demolished, according to administration.
City Manager Jim Toye responded that building inspector Jerery Wintonyk would bring a report back to a future council meeting, and said there is a plan to demolish both those houses. The demolition would not apply to the vacant Shell station, however.
