Purse stolen while shopping on Railway Avenue East

It was a busy day for the North Battleford RCMP detachment as they received approximately 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.

It was a busy day for the North Battleford RCMP detachment as they received approximately 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Included in those calls were four child welfare investigations, one false/nuisance 911 call,two traffic investigations, two false alarms, two mental health Investigations and four municipal bylaw/disturbance complaints.

Monday

9:50 a.m. - Harassing phone calls complaint made. Suspect warned about behaviour.No charges pursued.

11:39 a.m. - Two-vehicle collision at a parking lot on Railway Avenue East. No injuries. One vehicle sustained enough damage that it is no longer safe to operate.Investigation is still ongoing.

12:50 p.m. - Vehicle damaged while parked on 99th Street.Suspect scratched complainant's vehicle.

1:29 p.m. - Break and enter to a residence on 109th Street.Suspect identified and known to victim.Investigation is still ongoing, charges still pending.

2:45 p.m. - Purse stolen from complainant while shopping at a business on Railway Avenue East.No suspects.

5:09 p.m. - Report of unwanted person showing up intoxicated at a residence on 103rd Street.35-year-old man arrested for Mischief and held in custody until sober.

5:46 p.m. - Report of a vehicle broken into on 1000 block of 105th Street in early evening of Oct. 19.

6:00 p.m. - 911 call of a disturbance at a home on 104th Street.Several items damaged by a youth who is an occupant of the home during an argument.13-year-old was arrested for breach of the peace and later turned over to another adult relative outside the home.

8:37 p.m. - Report of a loud argument/fight at a residence on Panton Avenue.27-year-old man at scene was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at the residence.He was arrested for breach of the peace and held in custody until sober.No charges pursued.

10:40 p.m. - Call of a possible break and enter to a residence on 110th Street.Home found with open door. No signs of forced entry and no indication of anything having been disturbed.

11:09 p.m. - 911 call of an assault at a residence on 111th Street.Investigation revealed an intoxicated female suspect had assaulted a second woman at the residence.22-year-old woman was arrested for assault and resisting arrest. Assault charges not being pursued due to lack of co-operation from alleged victim.

11:27 p.m. - Report of two youths repeatedly ringing a doorbell on 96th Street and running away.

Tuesday

1:30 a.m. - 15-year-old arrested on 103rd Street, located by patrolling members and facing two counts of breach of probation for a curfew violation and failing to abstain from alcohol. Appeared in court the morning of Oct. 21.

1:44 a.m. - Report of intoxicated persons in area of 108th Street causing a disturbance.Members located and arrested a very intoxicated 28-year-old woman for causing a disturbance and she was held in custody until sober.

3:07 a.m. - Located an 11-year-old youth suspect of previous thefts from motor vehicles on 109th Street and transported home.Located possible stolen cell phone on subject. Investigation ongoing.

4:03 a.m. - Call of an assault at a residence on 103rd Street.Caller alleging an unknown man slapped her in the face for dancing.Numerous persons located at residence consuming alcohol. Victim was not injured and advised the suspect had left and refused to co-operate further with investigating members.

4:35 a.m. - 34-year-old woman arrested for mischief after complaint of intoxicated unwanted person at a residence on 108th Street. No charges pursued and held in custody until sober.
