RCMP charge man in 2018 murder on Muskeg Lake Cree Nation

Stephen Greyeyes was charged with second-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body

BLAINE LAKE - Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit have arrested a man in relation to the 2018 death of Deanna Greyeyes.

Stephen David James Greyeyes, 34, of Blaine Lake and Prince Albert areas, was arrested on Jan. 28 and charged with second-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body.

On Nov. 26, 2018, 66-year-old Deanna Greyeyes was located deceased in a rural area near Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. She had been reported missing to the Blaine Lake RCMP a day earlier.

Greyeyes will next appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Feb. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
