Between 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 60 calls for service.
Monday, Aug. 10
- A 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were charged with assault after an incident was reported at a residence on Red Pheasant First Nation at 9:25 a.m. Both individuals are scheduled to attend court at a later date.
• There was vandalism reported at a property on 18th Street in the industrial area of Battleford.
• Just before 1 p.m. there was a collision involving two vehicles on the corner of 16th Avenue and 91st Street. No one was injured in the collision. Both vehicles had to be towed from the intersection.
• A shoplifter was arrested and charged with theft after an incident that was reported on Railway Avenue East around 3 p.m.
• There was a bicycle reported stolen from the 1300 block of 110th Street that happened sometime in the early afternoon.
• There was a complaint of an impaired driver on 101st Street at 8 p.m. Officers located the vehicle parked on 101st Street and charged the driver, a 26-year-old woman, for having control of a vehicle while she was impaired by alcohol. She was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
• Officers assisted with a heated family dispute on 23rd Street in Battleford at 10 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 11
• A male youth is being charged with failing to comply with his undertaking after he was found to be away from home during a curfew check around 1 a.m.
• Someone reported that a person had just tried to kick down their door at 1:45 a.m. on 101st Street. The person was unable to get into the house and vandalized a vehicle that was parked outside the home and left the property. The suspects were in a black four-door car.
• There was a noise complaint made on Martin Crescent at 1:45 a.m.
• An officer stopped a vehicle on Red Pheasant First Nation around 2:30 a.m. The driver was charged with breaching his probation order as he was not home during the curfew hours as specified in the order.
• The North Battleford Fire Department called to advise that they had been dispatched to a dumpster fire on the 1100 block of 110th Street at 3:41 a.m.
• A 30-year-old man was given a driving suspension after officers stopped a vehicle on the 1300 block of 112th Street and the driver was found to be impaired by drug.
There was also one person arrested for an alcohol related offence, eight disturbances reported, one minor collision, one traffic complaint, three nuisance 911 calls and one false alarm.
