RCMP looking for injured would-be robber

Battleford RCMP are asking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery which occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday. A lone male entered a business on St.

Battleford RCMP are asking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery which occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday. A lone male entered a business on St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford and produced a modified rifle in an attempt to rob the business. The employee of the business was able to disarm the suspect during a brief struggle before the suspect fled on foot. The suspect did not attain any cash or merchandise. The employee sustained minor injuries to his hands during the altercation but did not require any medical assistance.

The male suspect appears to be in his teens or early twenties.  He was wearing a white baseball cap and a red t-shirt. He was also carrying a small back  pack at the time of the incident.  The suspect is believed to likely be suffering from visible injuries to his head and face as a result of his confrontation with the employee of the business.
