RCMP respond to multiple alcohol-related complaints RCMP Daily Report

Between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 35 calls for service.

Wednesday, Aug. 11

• There was a report that a vehicle had been broken into on the 1000 block of 111th Street overnight.

• Officers attended a residence on 99th Street for a reported assault at 7:15 p.m. The people in the home were intoxicated and denied that any assault had taken place. Officers checked the residence and there was no sign that anyone had been hurt.

• Two female youths were located drinking alcohol in a public park around 8:30 p.m. and were given a ticket for possessing alcohol as a minor.

• Officers stopped a vehicle after a traffic complaint was made about it at 8:36 p.m. and the driver did not have a driver’s licence. The driver was issued a ticket for driving without a license.

• There was a report at 10 p.m. that the licence plate had been stolen off of their vehicle where it had been parked on 107th Street.

Thursday, Aug. 11

• There was a report of a break and enter to a shed on the 1500 block of 97th Street that happened sometime during the previous night.

• A 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with breach of undertaking after he was caught having contact with his ex-girlfriend, and his conditions were to not to have contact with her. He was held in custody for court on the breach charge.

In addition, there were three people arrested for alcohol-related offences, six disturbances reported, three traffic complaints and one false alarm.
