RCMP respond to rural incidents

Between 6 a.m. Friday, May 29 and 6 a,n, May 30, North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 74 calls, including:
Friday
- There was a report at 1:11 p.m. of two shoplifters who had been caught at a business on Territorial Drive. A 25-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman were both arrested and charged with theft.
 - At 1:41 p.m. there was a shoplifting reported at a business on the 1000 block of 101st Street.  The incident was captured on video surveillance and the investigation is ongoing.
-  There was an assault reported in a rural area of Cochin at 3:24 p.m..  The suspect is known to the victim and the incident is currently under investigation.
- Officers attended a rural residence outside of Cochin after a complaint at 8:05 p.m. that there was an intoxicated male that was smashing things in the house. The male was arrested and held in custody until he was sober.
- At 8:20 p.m. officers located a 29-year-old man in a bar who was on a conditional sentence order with conditions not to drink alcohol or be in bars or liquor stores. The man was arrested and held in custody and brought before a judge.
- Officers mediated a dispute over property that was reported at 8:24 p.m. in a rural area near Cochin.
Saturday

- While doing a curfew check on a youth in a rural area of Cando who was on a probation order, the youth was discovered to be in violation of the order.  He was charged with failing to comply with his probation order.
- Officers were doing bicycle patrols around 110th Street on the 800 block at 12:15 a.m. and found a male youth who was intoxicated and stumbling. The youth was on a probation order with conditions to abstain from alcohol and was arrested and charged with breaching the order.
- There was a report of young people going through vehicles on the 700 block of 106th Street at 2:56 a.m. Two youths were located walking in the same area minutes later and one of them was on an undertaking as well as a recognizance with curfew conditions, which he was not abiding by.  He was charged with breaching those conditions.
-  A 30-year-old male was charged with assault after a report of a domestic assault at a rural residence near Cochin at 4:06 a.m.
In addition, there were four people arrested for alcohol-related offenses, five disturbances reported, nine traffic complaints, six minor collisions, four nuisance 911 calls, four false alarms, and one missing person reported that has already been located.
