As a result of the investigation and numerous tips from the public, Battlefords RCMP have able to identify and charge a suspect in the break in and theft of firearms from the Canadian store. A warrant has been issued for Jeffery Alexander Holliday, 26 years old of North Battleford.
He has been charged with the following:
Break and enter to steal firearms
Break and enter with intent to a business x 2
Possess firearm while prohibited from doing so
Utter threats
Holliday is not in custody and an arrest warrant has been issued. Holliday may be in possession of several firearms, as such anyone with information should call the RCMP..
On April 22, at approximately 10:30pm, RCMP were called to a business on the 11000 block of Railway Avenue East in North Battleford. A single individual wearing a mask and gloves, broke into a side door of the business, and proceeded to pry open a gun cabinet. Several firearms were stolen. No ammunition was stolen The suspect fled the scene in an older model white Ford F-150 truck.
At 10:47 p.m., RCMP were called to a business on the 9000 block of Territorial Drive in North Battleford, for an attempted break in. A male was attempting to break into the business when he was interrupted by a security guard and fled the scene. The male is described as 5'7', dark hair, wearing a checkered shirt, dark pants, and had a back pack.
The investigation is continuing and it is believed that these incidents are connected.
