North Battleford is getting an outdoor drive-in movie on Tuesday, Aug. 25 thanks to Prairie Toyota Dealers.
They are bringing their “Reels on Wheels Tour” to the Battlefords Ag Society grounds, junction of Highway 16 and 40, that night for the screening of the animated Disney-PIXAR movie Onward.
The event is being put on Prairie Toyota Dealers and Rainbow Toyota in partnership with Fresh Air Cinema. It is one of several events held at various locations across the province. On their Facebook page, it was noted seven Reels on Wheels screenings were scheduled for August alone, including ones in Yorkton, Regina, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Lloydminster.
The event on Aug. 25 will incorporate social distancing policies according to the guidelines by public health, with guests required to be in their vehicles to watch the movie.
Donations are being accepted towards Big Brothers, Big Sisters with a minimum donation of $1 dollar, with a suggested donation amount of $20 per car load.
Gates open at 8:30 p.m. and the movie will begin around 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are required per car and must be purchased in advance at www.eventbrite.ca. People are asked to have tickets ready to show the check-in agent in order to enter; purchases at the gate will not be allowed.
There will also be a draw to win a one year lease of a 2020 Tundra or Tacoma or a VIP Backyard Movie Experience; other prizes are also being offered at the event.
