Resident finds intoxicated female in his house

Between 6 a.m. Thursday, July 16 and 6 a.m. Friday, July 17, North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 45 calls for service, including:

Thursday, July 16

• A resident on 100th Street found an intoxicated female that was a stranger in his residence around 11 a.m. After confronting her, she walked out, leaving her shoes behind. The female returned with two males and the two males were arrested and held in cells until they were sober and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling.

• There was a female that approached a bystander on Pioneer Avenue saying that she had been assaulted and requested assistance at 11:17 a.m. WPD Ambulance was dispatched for the woman. A 53-year-old man was arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

• A fight was reported on Ross Crescent around 4 p.m. Three siblings in their teens had got into a physical fight at that location and it was found to be a consensual fight. None of them had any injuries.

• There was an intoxicated 57-year-old male stumbling along the Territorial Drive walking path at 4:39 p.m. He was on an undertaking with conditions to abstain from alcohol and he was arrested and charged accordingly and released with a court date scheduled for Aug. 17.

Friday, July 17

• There was a complaint of an intoxicated female on Railway Avenue East at 12:30 a.m.  The female was located by officers in the area a short while later and she was taken to a friend’s house where there was someone sober to look after her for the remainder of the night.

• Someone reported that their car was broken into around 3:30 a.m. on the 1300 block of 107th Street and some change was taken from the vehicle.

• Officers went to a residence on the 1100 block of 108th Street after a request for assistance in removing an intoxicated male from the house at 3:52 a.m. Officers spoke with the male, who was willing to leave the residence on his own accord. There were no further issues.

• There was a report of vandalism to a residence on the 1200 block of 110th Street that had occurred sometime overnight.

Also in the noted time period, there were two people arrested for alcohol related offences, five disturbances reported, four traffic complaints, three nuisance 911 calls, and two false alarms.
