The fire was contained to one lower level unit of the building located on the 1000 block of 111th .

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services, which had 13 personnel on the scene for about one hour and 45 minutes, reports no one was injured in the blaze.

Thursday, emergency services personnel were called to the scene of a jack-knifed semi unit hauling 61 cattle on Highway 40 about 16 kilometres west of Battleford at Prongua Hill. The trailer of the unit had slid down a moderate embankment.

NBFES assisted the RCMP and personnel from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in securing the trailer and removing surviving cattle from the site. At least three animals died.
