After a year on the job, James Risdon has left as North Battleford’s communications manager.

Personal matters are the reason for his departure, according to a City news release issued last week, as he has returned to Bathurst, N.B.

Risdon had taken on the role of communications manager last year following the departure of Mike Halstead to the City of Saskatoon.

In a statement Risdon expressed gratitude about the time he spent with the City.

“As I leave North Battleford and return to Bathurst, New Brunswick where I must attend to family matters, I take with me fond memories of faith-filled and loyal friends, hardworking colleagues, and a place like no other in Canada. This has been a great experience for me and I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people I have met. “

Dustin MacDonald, city records manager, will be acting communications co-ordinator while the City conducts a search for a replacement.
