Battlefords RCMP responded to 182 calls for service between Friday, Sept. 15 at 6 a.m. and Monday, Sept. 18 at 6 a.m., including:
On Sept. 16 at 3:58 p.m. Battlefords RCMP were dispatched to a residence on the 9000 block of Panton Avenue in North Battleford for a report of a robbery and assault with a weapon.
Initial investigation revealed a 23-year-old man entered a residence with an adult male, an adult female and two youth inside. An altercation occurred, resulting in what were described as serious injuries to the two males. The 23-year-old man was subsequently taken to hospital and placed under arrest. The second male was also transported to hospital with what were described as serious injuries. The adult female was treated for minor injuries. The two youth were not physically injured. Investigators do not believe this is a random incident.
Battlefords RCMP including Battlefords Detachment, General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate. Updates, including details of any charges laid, will be provided as they become available.
