Thirty seems to be a routine number of calls dealt with by Battlefords RCMP during weekday 24-hour periods.
Between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 and 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20 the answered just under that many calls, including three alarms.
Wednesday
6:00 a.m. - 21-year-old man arrested after complaint of unknown person knocking on apartment doors on St Laurent Drive. Subject extremely intoxicated, held in custody until sober.
8:32 a.m. - Hit and run reported to a vehicle parked on 1300 block of 97th Street overnight. Minor damage to driver's side of vehicle.
10:00 a.m. - Failure to pay cab fare reported. Suspect later cleared up bill.
11:51 a.m. - Members called to residence on 104th Street, youth reported to be out of control, screaming and breaking things. Youth was apprehended and turned over to social services.
8:14 p.m. - Call of suicidal man attempting to harm himself and has since left residence. Members searched for subject for several hours and were able to locate him shortly after 11:00 p.m., safely taken to hospital.
9:41 p.m. - Complaint of suspicious vehicle possibly following someone. Members attended to location to ensure safety of caller. Suspect vehicle no longer in area.
10:16 p.m. - Reports of several vehicles and residences struck by paint balls on 1700 block of 97th and 9000 block of 16th Avenue.
Thursday
12:36 a.m. - Warning given for noisy party complaint on 103rd Street.
2:53 a.m. - Vehicle parked on 2100 block of 95th Street entered and some papers moved around. Vehicle found by patrolling members with door open and secured.
2:55 a.m. - Hit and run called in from Railway Avenue East. Suspect vehicle located a short time later and driver facing charges under Traffic Safety Act.
4:01 a.m. - Warning given for noisy party on Winder Crescent.
4:31 a.m. - Members called to residence, report of a man threatening to get a gun, possibly to harm himself. Members attended and suspect was being controlled by another man at home, taken into custody without further issue.
5:12 a.m. - 17-year-old youth arrested on 101st Street, in violation of her court imposed curfew.
