The challenges of COVID-19 haven’t stopped the city of North Battleford from staging another Send Off to Summer drive-in movie event.
The annual free movie event for the entire family will again happen as usual on Sept. 11. The movie is Abominable, and will begin at 8 p.m. that night, sponsored by Innovation Credit Union and Rivers West District for Sport, Culture and Recreation.
The location will be the field adjacent to the CUplex, the same locale as in previous years.
Drive-in movies have been one of the pandemic activities that has been allowed to operate since very early in the province’s re-opening. As has been the case with other outdoor movies, provincial guidelines will apply and cars must be spaced two metres apart.
