Two individuals appeared in provincial court this week in connection to shooting incidents that happened in North Battleford on the weekend.

Ryan Bear and Troy Delorme face charges of possessing a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (a sawed off rifle), possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

They are also charged with marijuana possession under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Both individuals are alleged in court to be members of the street gang the Terror Squad.

Delorme's first appearance in court was Tuesday morning before Judge David Kaiser. His show cause hearing has been scheduled for April 16 at 9:30 a.m. in provincial court. A no-contact order with several other individuals was also issued.

Bear made his first appearance in court Monday and appeared again Tuesday for a scheduled show cause hearing. Instead, his lawyer Don MacKinnon received instructions to waive the bail hearing, enter not guilty pleas to the charges and elect trial in provincial court.

A date for a trial has not been scheduled as of yet, and that issue will be spoken to again Monday in provincial court at 9:30 a.m. Bear's personal attendance for that court date has been waived; he is remanded to the following Thursday. A similar no-contact order was also made.

The alleged shooting incidents took place late Saturday night, according to RCMP. The incidents were alleged to have taken place in the area of 93rd Street and also around 108th Street. Two other individuals, an adult and a youth, also face weapons charges in the case.
