Between 6 a.m. Thursday, March 5 and 6 a.m. Friday, March 6 Battlefords RCMP responded to 24 calls for service, including:
Thursday
- There was a motor vehicle collision on the corner of 18th Avenue and 96th Street at 3:57 p.m., involving two vehicles. No one was injured in the collision and both vehicles had to be towed.
- A shoplifting incident was reported at a business on Railway Avenue at 4:57 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
- Members assisted a Community Safety Officer with a traffic stop near the intersection of 101th Street and Railway Avenue at approximately 7:25 p.m. A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drug and was released to appear in court at a later date.
- There was a complaint of an intoxicated female passed out on the 900 block of 102nd Street at 8:52 p.m. Members located an 18-year-old woman at that location and she was arrested for breaching her probation erder, as she was on conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol.
Members also responded to six disturbances, three traffic complaints, one complaint of harassing messages, one Mental Health Act complaint, two false alarms, and three false or nuisance 911 calls.
