Sixteen arrests on the weekend

Battlefords RCMP arrested 16 people for various offences while responding to more than 80 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13 and 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16.

Battlefords RCMP arrested 16 people for various offences while responding to more than 80 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13 and 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16.


Among the calls were 13 alarms, all false, and six nuisance or false 911 calls.


Friday


9:22 a.m. - Assault/harassment complaint forwarded through a school. All parties involved are under 12. Members mediated a discussion along with parents and teachers.


12:30 p.m. - Complaint of online harassment, has been ongoing problem.


2:35 p.m. - Child Welfare concerns reported. 16-year-old youth located and confirmed to be in good health and safe.


4:11 p.m. - 19-year-old man arrested and charged with theft after report of shoplifting at a business on Railway Avenue East. Upon arrest, stolen property from a second store located on suspect, who is also facing a second charge of theft in connection with that incident.


4:41 p.m. - False/prank 911 call made from payphone. Three youths located and confirmed to be responsible. Warned.


5:53 p.m. - Unknown and intoxicated man walked into complainant's residence on 101st Street, then left and last seen walking north. Patrols for subject negative.


6:05 p.m. - 20-year-old man arrested on 102nd Street after complaint of intoxicated man outside a residence causing a disturbance. Subject lied about identity and is facing a charge of obstruction.


8:12 p.m. - 77-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 11th Avenue.


9:00 p.m. - Gas and dash reported from business on Railway Avenue East, suspects driving an early 1990s GMC Sonoma truck, brown, pulling a large camper.


Saturday


12:14 a.m. - Loud party/music complaint on Mackenzie King Crescent. Warning given and no further complaints received.


1:26 a.m. - Theft of a cell phone reported. May have been lost not taken.


12:37 a.m. - Suspicious person ringing doorbell and running around outside not properly dressed on Mitchell Avenue. Patrols for subject negative.


1:15 a.m. - 25-year-old woman arrested for being intoxicated in public on 101st Street.


2:31 a.m. - Disturbance outside a bar noted by patrolling members. Two intoxicated person arguing. A 29-year-old man and 19-year-old woman arrested and held in custody until sober.


2:34 a.m. - Loud music/party complaint on Ross Crescent. Occupants warned, no further complaints received.


3:00 a.m. - Report of theft of vehicle. Members located vehicle a short time later, owner had forgotten where it was parked.


3:03 a.m. - Young man reported walking around on 101st Street yelling and screaming at cars. 16-year-old located and arrested. Charged with failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.


3:52 a.m. - 28-year-old man arrested for mischief, causing problems for guest at a hotel. Held in custody until sober.


4:12 a.m. - Intoxicated woman banging on doors on 108th Street. Located outside not wearing proper clothing for weather. Arrested for public intoxication.


6:20 a.m. - Loud party complaint on Winder Crescent. Occupant on conditions of no alcohol, charges are now pending.


10:51 a.m. - 911 call of adults drinking and not taking proper care of children in residence, and some of the adults are driving drunk. Upon arrival, everything quiet, no party going on, everyone sober and appears to have been a false complaint.


2:00 p.m. - Assault complaint from Railway Avenue East. Suspect identified and warned, no charges being pursued at this time.


5:00 p.m. - Theft of a television by former tenant reported. Believed to have occurred sometime earlier in the day.


5:28 p.m. - Report of theft of a cell phone. Suspect known to complainant.


6:54 p.m. - Report of intoxicated person causing a disturbance on 107th Street. 25-year-old woman arrested and held in custody until sober.


7:40 p.m. - Single vehicle collision reported on Territorial Drive West under train bridge. No injuries, vehicle swerved into guardrail, sustained significant damage and towed from scene.


9:13 p.m. - Report of arguing/fighting at apartment on Winder Crescent. Matter mediated by members. No further complaints received.


9:22 p.m. - Report of unknown, intoxicated man on complainant's porch and won't leave. 24-year-old man located and arrested. Held in custody until sober.


11:14 p.m. - 38-year-old man arrested and charged with care and control over .08 and care and control while impaired after vehicle check on 112th Street.


Sunday


2:32 a.m. - Two 911 call hang ups to residence on 114th Street. Would not tell dispatchers what was going on, just wanted police to attend. Upon arrival, members advised caller was concerned because her friends were yelling and she didn't know what was going to happen. Now everyone was sleeping and everything was fine.


3:50 a.m. - 50-year-old man arrested for being intoxicated in public on 100th Street.


7:37 a.m. - Unwanted guest at residence on 109th Street. Subject left when police called and patrols for subject negative.


1:01 p.m. - 22-year-old man arrested on Railway Avenue East after complaint of intoxicated man causing a disturbance. Facing charge of breach of probation.


4:52 p.m. - Domestic disturbance at residence on 18th Avenue. No assault alleged to have occurred. Subjects agreed to separate for the evening.


5:38 p.m. - Report of something thrown through a living room window on Deans Crescent. Both suspects identified and arrested at approximately 3 a.m. A 13-year-old girl has been charged with mischief and obstruction and a 16-year-old boy with mischief.


5:54 p.m. - Members responded to a 911 call reporting that the complainant's son took her shoes and threw them in the yard.


6:19 p.m. - Second complaint of same subject at a different location damaging a witness's vehicle. Patrols for subject negative. Charges for suspect pending.


6:50 p.m. - Complaint of man in a vehicle following/harassing complainants. Suspect identified. Still under investigation.


11:57 p.m. - Loud party complaint. Matter dealt with by landlord and no further issues reported.
