Sixteen-year-old charged with break and enter

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 25 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, April 17 and 6 a.m. Friday, April 18. Among those calls was one noise complaint and three traffic related occurrences. Thursday 7:09 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 25 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, April 17 and 6 a.m. Friday, April 18.


Among those calls was one noise complaint and three traffic related occurrences.


Thursday


7:09 a.m. - Report of a vehicle rummaged through in the 9000 block of 16th Avenue. Property was stolen. Still under investigation.


7:20 a.m. - Report that perpetrators broke into a business on Thatcher Avenue and had stolen a quad. Still under investigation.


1:42 p.m. - Report of tires slashed on a vehicle parked in the 8900 block of 18th Avenue.


2:23 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated man on 101st Street. A 50-year-old man was arrested for drunk in public and lodged in cells. He has been charged for drunk in public and open alcohol in a public place. He was released when sober.


3:03 p.m. - Report of a three-vehicle collision on St. Laurent Drive. Police, fire and EMS attended. Minor injury. Road conditions may have been a contributing factor.


9:46 p.m. - Report of two missing teenaged girls from a group home. The search continues. Later located safe in Saskatoon.


11:31 p.m. - Report of a man trying to get into complainant's apartment. A 32-year-old man was arrested nearby and is now charged with two counts of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. He was lodged in cells and released before a JP the following morning. Court date is May 12.


11:40 p.m. - Report of a possible domestic assault. A 59-year-old man was arrested and lodged in cells. The man was very intoxicated. The complainant did not want charges.


11:48 p.m. - Report of a break and enter in progress. Police arrested a 16-year-old male for break, enter and theft from a residence that occurred on Borden Crescent. The youth was lodged in cells and later released before a JP. His court date is scheduled for May 22.


Friday


12:22 a.m. - A 45-year-old woman called police to get a ride home. She was told that police do not provide a taxi service. She was told to call cab company.


2:30 a.m. - A 31-year-old man was arrested for drunk in public. Lodged in cells until sober.


2:45 a.m. - Report of a domestic assault at an apartment in the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive. Police attended and arrested a 29-year-old man who was intoxicated. He has been charged for assault with a weapon, assault and mischief. He was released on conditions before a JP the following day. Court is scheduled for May 12.


3:12 a.m. - Disturbance call to an apartment in the 1200 block of 97th Street. A 38-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants from Turtleford and Onion Lake. He was released before a JP the following day.


3:42 a.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man refusing to leave a business. A 49-year-old man was arrested for drunk in public, lodged in cells and released when sober. He has been charged for drunk in public.


4:33 a.m. - Disturbance call on 101st Street. A 42-year-old man was arrested for drunk in public, lodged in cells and released when sober.
