Isaac Dyck is the newest nominee in the Snow Angels program to earn a $50 gift card from the City.
His name was drawn by Mayor Ian Hamilton during this week's council meeting. Lina Lacoursiere, in her nomination letter, expressed gratitude with Dyck’s efforts.
“My neighbour, Isaac Dyck, has cleaned the snow from my front sidewalk and driveway since the first snowfall," wrote Lacoursiere. "He simply just does it. I did not have to ask him for help. I am a senior widow. I am so thankful for his kindness."
A total of 21 people were nominated as Snow Angels by appreciative neighbours last month, to bring the total nominations for this season to 33. North Battleford residents are encouraged to continue to contact the City with more nominees, who will receive a thank you recognition from the mayor and be eligible for the next draw. Imran Zaka of Crown Cab has agreed to sponsor the $50 gift cards for January, February and March.
December nominees included: Joanne and Tony Berezowski; Vince Foster; Jim Couperthwaite; Dave and Justina Unger; Patrick Bouvier; Ron Sidebottom; Travis Barthel; Vince Obermeyer; Ron Gagnon; Shannon, J.T. and Owen Lamb; Jaren Austen; John Smith; Darrell Kopp; Rejean Michaud; Gerry Acaster; and Ivan Katzell.
