It was confirmed at city council Monday that the Snow Angel program is coming back to North Battleford for another year.

The program recognizes people in the community who assist others, such as the elderly or those with mobility issues, in clearing snow from the sidewalks near their properties. Those receiving this help are encouraged to nominate those people as Snow Angels. Each Snow Angel receives a thank you certificate from the mayor and is entered into a draw for a monthly prize of a $50 gift card courtesy of the City of North Battleford.

According to City Director of Legislative Services Debbie Wohlberg, the City will be reinstating the program this year. Those receiving assistance are encouraged to write or email City Hall to provide the name and address of the person who assisted them this season. Details about the program will be available at City Hall.

Also, City Manager Jim Puffalt says they want to celebrate the work of those nominated by holding the prize draw and presentation at the first council meeting of every month.
