The Kelvington/Rose Valley RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating Dennis Malischewski.
A ground and aerial search has been done in the Kelvington Snowmobile trails area near Kelvington, Saskatchewan. The Kelvington, Wadena, Archerwill and Quill Lake snowmobile clubs, the Civilian Air Search and Rescue, along with the RCMP have been involved in the search.
At this time Malischewski has not been located. Police say he was possibly seen Sunday at approximately 12:45 p.m., just south of Kelvington, and was accompanied by another male snowmobile rider. The other man is described as approximately 5'6", 150 lbs with dark hair and moustache, wearing a red snowmobile suit with the emblem "FOX" or possibly "FXR" on the jacket.
He was last seen at approximately 10 a.m. on Jan. 11 in Kelvington while operating his black Polaris snowmobile. Police say neither his whereabouts nor direction of travel are known.
Malischewski is of Kelvington, is 59 years old, is 6' 1" and weighs 1230 lbs. He was wearing a black, two-piece snowmobile suit and a black and yellow helmet when last seen.
RCMP say Malischewski is known to travel large distances via snowmobile and in the past has gone as far as Carrot River and Yorkton, He has also stayed in remote snowmobile warm-up shacks or cabins.
