The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce has announced it has lined up its guest speaker for the President's Banquet on Jan. 29.

The speaker is Kendal Netmaker, founder and CEO of Neechiegear. Netmaker is a young entrepreneur from Sweetgrass First Nation and was a 2012 ABEX Award recipient from the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce for both the Aboriginal Business Partnership Award and the Community Involvement Award.

He will be part of the program for the banquet, which will take place at Western Development Museum starting at 6 p.m.

The main focus of the President's Banquet will be the introduction and swearing-in of current Chamber first vice-president Sharon Mohagen as the new president for 2013, succeeding Pat Smith.

It is expected Mohegan will officially be elected president at the Jan. 22 board meeting and annual general meeting for the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce.
