Battleford RCMP responded to 48 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, April 13 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 14.

Monday

• Numerous calls of mischief to vehicles, homes and buildings received in the morning and early afternoon. Perpetrators, over the previous evening or early morning hours, caused damage with spray paint. Three vehicles reported damaged on St. Laurent Drive, two incidents reported in the Kildeer area, two vehicles on the 1300 block of 107th Street, and vehicles reported damaged on Gregory Drive and 91st Street.

• Reported theft from a residence on Clements Drive. Some cash reported missing. 

• Report of an assault with a weapon shortly after 4 p.m. The incident is reported to have occurred at approximately 2 p.m. in the area of the 1900 block of 104th Street. The victim attended the hospital with superficial injuries to his arms and was treated and released. He describes the suspects as a group of six youth between the ages of 13 and 15 years old dressed in black, one of whom cut him with a small knife. Investigation is ongoing.

• Vehicle reported stolen at 3 p.m. Vehicle stolen sometime over the previous weekend is a 1990 brown GMC pickup with Saskatchewan Licence 683 IMD. Last seen on the 2700 block of 99th Street.

• A 19-year-old man was arrested on the 1900 block of 104th Street after a report of a vehicle damaged and broken into shortly before 9 p.m. Man is facing charges of mischief under $5,000, breach of probation and possession of a break-in tool. He has been released on several conditions and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial court May 11.

• 25-year-old man arrested and facing one count of break and enter after a call to Campbell Crescent shortly after 11 p.m. Man is known to home owner, however, entered the residence without consent and was not welcome due to his level of intoxication.

Tuesday

• Call of an intoxicated and violent man at a residence on  Poundmaker First Nation. Man was reported to be throwing items around the house and had also harmed himself. Subject arrested and taken to hospital where he continued his erratic behaviour and damaged some equipment. The 25-year-old man is currently facing charges of assaulting a police officer, mischief over $5,000 and failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

• 28-year-old man located after 2 a.m. on the 900 block of 101st Street in violation of conditions of released. Arrested, charged and held to appear in court on Tuesday.

• Call of a disturbance on the 1600 block of 104th Street shortly after 4 a.m. A 20-year-old woman was arrested and  charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm are currently pending. A 23-year-old man was arrested on scene for outstanding warrants for assault. Investigation is still ongoing.

Police also investigated five traffic matters, three disturbance calls, six nuisance 911 calls, two alarms, one collision and one bylaw matter.
