Stolen air gun recovered

North Battleford RCMP responded to 21 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13. Over that time period, RCMP made two arrests relating to alcohol offences.

North Battleford RCMP responded to 21 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13.

Over that time period, RCMP made two arrests relating to alcohol offences. Other calls included two minor collisions, three alarms responded to, two disturbance calls and two traffic investigations.

Monday

• Two-vehicle collision responded to at 1:05 p.m. at the intersection of 106th Street and 11th Avenue. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and had to be towed from scene. No injuries reported. Investigation ongoing.

• Theft of a cell phone reported from a business on the 1000 block of 107th Street shortly after 3 p.m. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

• Members recovered an air soft gun from a youth on 8th Avenue at 3:11 p.m., discovered to have been stolen from a business on Railway Avenue on an earlier date.

• Report made in the later afternoon of an assault at a residence on the 1400 block of 110th that was alleged to have occurred earlier in the day. A 19-year-old male suspect has charges of assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000 pending after an altercation with a woman known to him at a residence. He was already gone from the area when police were notified and has yet to be located. The victim was not injured during the incident. A warrant for the his arrest is to be pursued.

• Theft of some items from a vehicle between 9 and 10 p.m. on the 1700 block of 110th Street.

Tuesday

• Call shortly after 3 a.m. of a suspicious person hanging around a vehicle on Trudeau Street.  Believes subject entered one vehicle on street as some items inside were moved around.
