Between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, Battlefords RCMP responded to 32 calls for service, including the following:
Wednesday
• Single vehicle accident on Highway 16 bridges at 8:46 a.m. Driver lost control and struck the guardrail. No injuries, and vehicle towed from scene due to extensive damage. Driver has been charged for operating a vehicle without a valid license.
• A 45-year-old man arrested and charged with failing to comply with probation after report of intoxicated man causing a disturbance on the 900 block of 102nd Street at 4:46 p.m. Subject held for court Thursday, Feb. 26.
• A 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen from Martin Crescent shortly after 6:30 p.m. It was later recovered abandoned in Maidstone.
Police arrested one person for an alcohol related offence and also responded to two false or nuisance 911 calls, four reported disturbances, six traffic investigations, two alarms, one mental health investigation, two minor collisions reported, one Child Welfare complaint and one reported missing person who was quickly located by police.
