The North Battleford RCMP detachment responded to approximately 29 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 and 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3.
The calls included, but were not limited to, one disturbing the peace complaint, three false alarms, four traffic investigation/complaints and two family disputes.
Thursday
6:48 a.m. - Complaint of an unwanted person at an address on 110th Street. Man was intoxicated and the complainant wished for him to be picked up by police.
12:00 p.m. - Complaint of threats being made over Facebook. Investigation is ongoing.
12:28 p.m. - Complaint of a youth being bear sprayed outside a business on 110th Street while on lunch hour from school. Very little detail provided in regards to a possible suspect, direction of travel and so on. Members made extensive patrols, however results were negative. Investigation is ongoing at this time.
1:35 p.m. - Complaint of three intoxicated men outside of the hospital harassing patients/clients. Members attended one of the three was intoxicated and arrested on outstanding warrants. The other two were told to move along.
1:39 p.m. - Complaint of shoplifting approximately $100 worth of baby formula from a grocery store. One woman arrested for theft and released for court.
5:31 p.m. - Complaint of windows being smashed out of vehicle at an address on 99th Street. No suspects. Complainant left the address in the morning and returned to find the damage.
5:58 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man outside the liquor store yelling at customers. Members attended and the man was arrested for breaching his court ordered conditions of no alcohol consumption. Lodged in cells until sober and released for court.
6:49 p.m. - Complaint of an assault at an address on 110th Street. Members attended and the suspect had left the address previous to police arriving. This matter is still under investigation.
7:33 p.m. - Complaint of assault at an address on St. Laurent Drive. Two intoxicated brothers were beating up a younger sober brother. Members attended. One intoxicated brother was located and arrested for breaching court ordered conditions and assault. The other brother fled before police arrived. This investigation is ongoing.
9:05 p.m. - Complaint of break and enter into an address on 99th Street. The complainant advised that she left the residence for a short time and was sure she locked the back door. When she returned the back door was open. Nothing missing or damaged.
9:33 p.m. - Complaint of a garage being spray painted overnight. This is related to a previous incident and a youth has been arrested in relation to this incident and other similar incidents.
Friday
3:21 a.m. - Complaint of a few adult men banging on windows and yelling outside an address on 107th Street. Members attended and no one was located at the address or in the area.
At the end of September 2014 a monument in McPhail Park, North Battleford, Saskatchewan was vandalized along with many of the trees. The City of North Battleford and/or the RCMP are looking for the public's assistance in solving this incident.
