Emily Hall, formerly of the Battlefords now teaching in Leoville, reads the gravestone of her great-grandmother's first husband, Henry Peart, who died in the First World War. Peart, who served with the Canadian Army's Fifth Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment, was born in England. He lived at Qu'Appelle before enlisting at Regina late in 1915. He died Sept. 27, 1916. Hall and her family visited the war memorial last summer while touring France.
