Teens facing multiple charges

A report of truck theft has led to a cartload of charges against two 15-year-old boys and also charges against two other teens. The truck was reported stolen at 3:28 a.m. Friday and was spotted on 100th Street at 5 a.m. Saturday.

A report of truck theft has led to a cartload of charges against two 15-year-old boys and also charges against two other teens.


The truck was reported stolen at 3:28 a.m. Friday and was spotted on 100th Street at 5 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle fled police but was later located.


In addition to the two 15-year-olds facing multiple charges to do with this and other alleged crimes, a 15-year-old girl has been charged with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. A 14-year-old girl has been charged with possession of stolen property. Both were passengers in the vehicle, according to police.


A 15-year-old youth is facing multiple charges involving numerous property crimes from the previous month, as well as the alleged vehicle theft on the weekend.


A second 15-year-old youth is also facing numerous charges.


Both are facing break and enter charges in connection with a home break and enter May 19 at 3:59 a.m. on the 1600 block of 101st Street where the homeowners were awakened by the suspects while committing the offence. Police say the youth are alleged to be involved in several other break and enters to garages reported earlier in the month of May.


One 15-year-old has been charged with multiple offences including, but not limited to, possession of stolen property, flight from police, resisting arrest, eight counts of break and enter to a residence and seven counts of failing to comply with probation.


Another 15-year-old has also been  charged with eight counts of break and enter to a residence and is also facing numerous other charges.


Both are in police custody and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday. Further charges are still pending.
