The North Battleford RCMP received approximately 20 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7.
The calls included, but were not limited to, two 911 act complaints, one false alarm, two traffic investigation/complaints and one missing person complaint.
Monday
1:11 p.m. - Complaint of child abuse from a Child Protection Agency. Statements obtained and this investigation is ongoing.
1:17 p.m. - Complaint of theft. The manager of a local business advised that cash was taken from a front counter area and it appears as though the jewellery counter was also tampered with. This investigation is ongoing.
2:20 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man "freaking out" and wrecking the house at an address on 96th Street. Members attended and the man was gone on arrival. Investigation is ongoing.
5:34 p.m. - Complaint of theft of truck from an address on 103rd Street. The truck is described as a 1994 White GMC 1500, Saskatchewan license plate 202 JLM.
5:42 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man outside a business on 101st Street.
6:59 p.m. - Complaint of a missing female youth. Youth had been gone for the weekend and was believed to be at one of two addresses in North Battleford. Members attended the two addresses and were led to a park where the youth was located nearby shortly after being reported missing.
7:07 p.m. - Complaint of assault at an address on 112th Street. The complainant refused to proceed with assault investigation. However, the male suspect was intoxicated and found to be on conditions to refrain from alcohol consumption. The man was held for court this morning.
8:43 p.m. - Complaint of a possible intoxicated man by the hospital. The man was waving the complainant down. Members attended. However, he was gone on arrival.
11:52 p.m. - 911 hang-up call. Member called the complainant back and was advised that there were two intoxicated men in her backyard. The complainant yelled at them to leave and they did. Patrols were made of the area as follow up to ensure no further issues arose.
11:54 p.m. - Complaint of cars revving up and ripping around in a parking lot of a local business. Members attended and initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle leaving the parking lot. Stunting activity not witnesses by the complainant or the members. No charges at this time.
11:56 p.m. - Complaint of a fire in a shed attached to a home on 108th Street. Members attended with the Fire Department to learn that the fire was a direct result of an overloaded power outlet. It was not suspicious and the fire was controlled.
Tuesday
12:57 a.m. - Complaint of a possible impaired driver. Patrols were made. Results negative.
