Three dead due to collision near Watson

Investigation determined that a minivan collided with a truck towing a boat on a trailer.

Three were declared deceased as the result of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 north of Watson

On September 12, 2021 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Melfort RCMP were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 6, approximately 10 kilometers north of Watson.

Investigation has determined that a minivan collided with a truck towing a boat on a trailer. A 43-year-old male from Spalding was the driver and sole occupant of the minivan. A 42-year-old male from Melfort was driving the truck with one male passenger, a 35-year-old male from Pickerel Lake, SK. All three were declared deceased on scene.

Highway 6 was closed for several hours during the initial investigation. Melfort RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP traffic reconstructionist continue to investigate.
