Three people are deceased as a result of a collision that occurred this morning at 6:55 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 16 near Langham, say RCMP.
Initial investigation has revealed that a semi-tractor trailer unit transporting vehicles was travelling westbound on Highway 16 when a truck crossing from rural route 3083 onto Highway 16 collided with it.
The lone 53-year-old male driver of the semi (from Martensville) was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
There were seven people in the truck. The 32-year-old male driver from Regina, 46-year-old male passenger from Moose Jaw, a five-year-old male passenger from Langham and 11-year-old male passenger from Langham were transported to hospital in Saskatoon with undetermined injuries.
Three passengers, a 26-year-old female from Corman Park, a four-year-old male from Langham and a nine-year-old male from Langham were declared deceased.
Warman RCMP and an RCMP collision reconstructionist continue to investigate. No charges have been laid. Highway 16 is now open.
