North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services dealt with three suspicious fires Sunday.

The first blaze was in the 1100 block of 105th Street on the north side of the water tower. A cloth decoration woven through a chain link fence was set on fire. The blaze was out when fire personnel arrived.

At about 3:30 a.m. crews were called to a vehicle fire on the 1500 block of 104th Street. The blaze had fully engulfed the vehicle.

About 20 minutes later crews responded to a second vehicle fire on the 1500 block of 107th Street. The vehicle was also a complete loss.

Fire crews quickly extinguished both preventing damage to surrounding property.

Emergency personnel also responded to two vehicle crashes over the past several days.

Monday at about 2:25 p.m. a vehicle rolled on Miller Road about three kilometers north. The occupant of the vehicle was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital by WPD Ambulance.

Thursday there was a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Airport Road and Territorial Drive at about 10:20 a.m. One vehicle suffered major damage and was towed from the scene. One occupant was transported to BUH.

NBFES were called to clean up a diesel fuel spill at the Co-op card lock Monday. The driver caught the curb with one of the saddle tanks of a semi-tractor, puncturing a hole and spilling approximately 60 litres of fuel. The fuel was contained before it entered the storm city. The City Works Department was also called in to spread sand and clean up the spill.
