Three-vehicle collision traps one person

Six traffic related complaints were among the more than 30 calls for service/occurrences dealt with by Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 and 6 a.m. Thursday, April 10.

Wednesday

7:57 a.m. - Vehicle parked on 1400 block of 105th Street overnight sustained damage to a window, some personal effects missing.

8:37 a.m. - Report of a vehicle, again on the 1300 block of 104th Street broken into during the night. Cash missing.

11:19 a.m. - Hit and run reported in Frontier Mall parking lot. Suspect vehicle described as a yellow Neon last noted driving east. Minor damage sustained to complainant's vehicle.

2:18 p.m. - Damage to an unoccupied home on 100th Street reported.

2:51 p.m. - Three vehicles involved in a collision at intersection of Territorial Drive and Railway Avenue South. One person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be removed with assistance of the North Battleford Fire Department. Injuries sustained are minor. One vehicle appears to have attempted to cross intersection when not safe to do so, was struck by a second vehicles and both vehicles then struck a third vehicle stopped at the stop sign. Investigation ongoing.

3:58 p.m. - Complainant reports being threatened by an acquaintance on Facebook.

6:30 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated man shouting at people in an apartment building on Winder Crescent. 62-year-old man arrested and held in custody until sober.

7:03 p.m. - 45-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 109th Street.

7:36 p.m. - 15-year-old boy reported missing from a group home, returned on his own before 11 p.m.

9:39 p.m. - Complaint reporting being threatened by family members on Facebook.

11:07 p.m. - 16-year-old girl arrested on 110th Street on outstanding warrants from Big River Detachment. Released for a later court date.

11:42 p.m. - Unwanted intoxicated woman at a residence on 99th Street. Subject left when police called and not located.

Thursday

2:34 a.m. - Report of an assault at a home on 108th Street. Victim quite intoxicated could not remember who struck her, but later provided name of suspect to members. Suspect is known to victim and was already gone from area. No injuries sustained and matter remains under investigation.

4:26 a.m. - 36-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication after complaint on 107th Street of a woman bothering people going into hospital.
