Tip received about car tampering: perpetrator not located

There were 16 calls for service/occurrences dealt with the Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 and 6 a.m. Thursday, March 20. Two calls were false alarms and one was a false/nuisance call to 911. Wednesday 9:09 a.m.

There were 16 calls for service/occurrences dealt with the Battlefords RCMP between 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 and 6 a.m. Thursday, March 20.

Two calls were false alarms and one was a false/nuisance call to 911.

Wednesday

9:09 a.m. - Report of theft from a business located on Railway Ave E. Perpetrator not yet identified and investigation ongoing.

9:30 a.m. - Complaint of an unknown male entering vehicles on 102nd Street near Lawrence School. Suspect fled on foot and was not located. Perpetrator was wearing a red plaid jacket and a black hat.

5:22 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man at a business located on the 900 block 103rd St. The male was removed by police and turned over to a family member to take care of.

9:32 p.m. - Complaint of two young girls who had not returned home. Police followed up and the girls were located at a friend's house. Both girls were returned home.

9:37 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man not wanted at a residence as a guest. Police attended and were advised that the intoxicated man had departed for another location. Patrols made to locate this man were negative.

11:26 p.m. - Complaint received regarding theft of a welfare cheque. Investigation revealed that the cheque had been made out in the spouse's name. No offence was committed.

Thursday

4:00 a.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man at a residence located on Winder Crescent. Police attended and the man had already departed. Patrols made and he was not located.

5:55 a.m. - Complaint of a loud party at a residence located on the 1300 block of 108th Street. Police attended and no persons were located at this scene.
