TISDALE — A poppy donation box was stolen from a Tisdale liquor store. Tisdale RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect.
On Nov. 9 at approximately 4:43 p.m, two women entered the Sobey's Liquor Store in Tisdale with one wearing a blue jacket and the other having a black sweater and wearing grey mukluks. The women briefly walked around the store with the female who was wearing the blue jacket obtaining and purchasing some product.
As the first woman was paying for her product, the second woman grabbed the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy donation box, hid it under her sweater then quickly left the store with the donation box. The poppy donation box that was stolen was described as being nearly full and having more than $100 inside of it.
The suspect is described as being female, approximately 30 years old, aboriginal, five feet, five inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. At time of offence the suspect had brown shoulder length hair and was wearing glasses, a black sweater, leggings, grey mukluks and she was holding a burgundy purse.
