On June 24 at approx 1 p.m. Tisdale RCMP responded to a complaint of a subject who was on his way to shoot his family members at a residence in the Tisdale Detachment area. RCMP officers from Tisdale, Hudson Bay, Melfort, and Prince Albert RCMP Police Dog Services converged on the area. The family members were secured by police, and the suspect was quickly located and arrested without any further incident.
A 37 year old male has been charged with the following Offences and will appear at Provincial Court in Melfort on June 25at 9:30 a.m.
1) Uttering Threats
2) Assault with a weapon
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
4) Dangerous Driving and
5) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon
