Tisdale Trojans defeat Beardy's Blackhawks 4-2

What started as a fairly equal battle for the Tisdale Trojans as they competed against the Beardy's Blackhawks at home soon turned into a solid 4-2 victory for the team.

What started as a fairly equal battle for the Tisdale Trojans as they competed against the Beardy's Blackhawks at home soon turned into a solid 4-2 victory for the team.

None of the goalies were letting pucks through until Talon Thomas of the Blackhawks drew first blood with 6:37 left in the first period of the Nov. 22 game. The Trojans struck back five minutes later with a goal from Kaden Kohle with help from Connor Hayward and Liam Rutten.

It was the second period that saw the gates open for the Trojans. Forty-seven seconds in, Cade Hayes scored with an assist from Liam Rutten during a power play. That was followed up with a goal from Colton Schell, with help from Cade Hayes and Brett Fogg, and a goal from David Wiens, with an assist from Brett Neumeier and Zack Smith.

The Blackhawks managed to get one more goal during the third, with Nolan Doell scoring with 3:49 left on the clock.

Trojans goalie Tanner Martin stopped 22 shots, while Blackhawks goalies Kobey Clarke and Shaemus McLeod stopped 16 and 15 respectively.
