A five-day trial is set for a Cochin man charged with killing his father in 2018.
A trial for Joshua Tucker, 29, was scheduled to be held in May at the Battlefords Court of Queen’s Bench but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tucker is charged with second-degree murder after Battlefords RCMP found the body of Gordon Ernest Tucker, 59, at a rural property southeast of Cochin.
RCMP Major Crimes North, North Battleford General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section, assisted with Battlefords RCMP with the investigation.
Tucker remains in custody.
On June 8 a trial was rescheduled to Dec. 14 – 18, 2020, in Battlefords Court of Queen’s Bench. Tucker elected to be tried before a judge alone.
The resort village of Cochin is located about 35 kilometres north of North Battleford.
