The office of MP Rosemarie Falk has issue a statement by the Battlefords-Lloydminster MP pm the SNC-Lavalin affair. It reads as follows:
“Former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould’s explosive testimony on the SNC-Lavalin affair detailed grossly inappropriate, corrupt and potentially illegal actions taken by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself and the highest officials in his government.”
“The rule of law is integral to our country. Raybould’s testimony made it clear that Trudeau allowed his own political motivations to take precedence over his duty to uphold the law. He does not know where the interests of the Liberal Party ends and where his responsibilities to the Government of Canada begins.
“At this point, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau must resign. Canadians deserve better than a Prime Minister that would bend the law to protect himself and his friends. And the severity of these allegations necessitates an RCMP investigation into the potential of criminal activity.”
