Icy surfaces on Highway #3 have caused two accidents within a day of each other.
The first happened March 26. At 4:55 p.m., the Tisdale RCMP were called to a two-vehicle collision approximately three kilometers east of Tisdale. An eastbound vehicle lost control on the ice and slush and crossed over into the westbound lane, colliding with a westbound vehicle.
The lone occupants were transported to Tisdale Hospital by ambulance, where they were treated for minor injuries.
A day later, the Tisdale RCMP were called to a single vehicle rollover approximately five kilometers west of Tisdale at 4:23 p.m. There were two occupants in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Both were transported to Tisdale Hospital by ambulance, where they were treated for minor injuries.
Road conditions at the time were icy and snow covered. Visibility was also poor due to the blowing snow.
The police ask travelers to check the highway hotline for the latest highway conditions before they depart and if treacherous road conditions are encountered, to adjust speed accordingly.
