RCMP have arrested two individuals after a vehicle theft.
On Saturday, Battlefords RCMP responded to a stolen vehicle complaint where a Buick Enclave had been stolen from Meadow Lake and was reported to be in North Battleford.
RCMP found the vehicle abandoned behind a business located on the Highway 16 bypass.
RCMP Police Dog Service attended the scene and were able to obtain a track. Two young persons were located and arrested for possession of stolen property.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
The RCMP are reminding people not to leave vehicles running with their keys in the vehicle and to ensure that no valuables are left in vehicles. By doing this you are helping prevent crimes of opportunity. Given the cold weather we are currently experiencing it is a reminder not to leave vehicles running.
