Two attempted vehicle thefts on 112th Street

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, April 7 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 8. Those calls included three false alarms, three traffic related complaints and one false/nuisance 911 call. Monday 6:44 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, April 7 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 8.

Those calls included three false alarms, three traffic related complaints and one false/nuisance 911 call.

Monday

6:44 a.m. - Attempted theft of a vehicle on 1400 block of 112th Street, some time between midnight and 6 a.m. Vehicle sustained damage to steering column.

6:44 a.m. - Second vehicle on same block also appears to have been targeted for theft, also unsuccessful.

9:55 a.m. - Vandalism to a lamp on 900 block of 108th Street, occurring sometime between 5 p.m. last night and this morning.

11:14 a.m. - Complainant reporting his girlfriend had popped all his tires and stolen a window out of his vehicle. Tires found not to have been damaged but air was let out. Suspect then removed a duct taped side window from the car but while police were there returned the window and apologized. Everything was now fine again, until subjects started arguing about something else.

12:00 p.m. - Complainant reporting ex-boyfriend has her cellphone and won't give it back.

12:07 p.m. - 1992 white GMC Suburban with Saskatchewan licence 336 HEV reported stolen from Mackenzie King Crescent.

2:51 p.m. - Report of a vehicle fire on 107th Street. North Battleford. Fire department in attendance, no persons injured, vehicle did sustain some significant damage to the motor.

4:49 p.m. - Report of youth running away from group home. Jonathan Gunville, 15, is still missing. He is approximately 5' 4", 110lbs, thin, with curly blonde hair and blue eyes.

6:59 p.m. - Report of a heavily intoxicated youth at a residence on 114th Street causing problems. 15-year-old girl was located showing severe signs of intoxication and reported to have ingested a large amount of alcohol. Transported to hospital for treatment.

9:30 p.m. - Complainant reporting her 13-year-old son took her cellphone and won't give it back.

9:42 p.m. - Report of several people walking on 19th Avenue who appear to be trying to open vehicles. Five subjects between the ages of 13 to 24 located. 13-year-old youth is currently charged with obstruction, and a 15-year-old with failing to comply with an undertaking. Investigation ongoing.

9:49 p.m. - Two youth reported running away from a group home. Both have since been located.

10:46 p.m. - Complaint of a woman walking down 100th Street throwing wine bottles at vehicles. 23-year-old woman was located and arrested for public intoxication.

Tuesday

2:01 a.m. - 42-year-old man arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving over .08 after a vehicle stop on near Don Ross Hill.
