Two killed in fatal collision near Muskoday First Nation

Around 12:45 p.m. April 10, Prince Albert RCMP responded to a fatal two vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Muskoday First Nation. A car and a truck collided, causing the highway to be blocked.

Around 12:45 p.m. April 10, Prince Albert RCMP responded to a fatal two vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Muskoday First Nation. A car and a truck collided, causing the highway to be blocked.

The three occupants of the truck, an adult male driver from Naicam, an adult female passenger from Christopher Lake and a male child from Christopher Lake were transported to hospital with injuries. The child has since been released.

Both occupants of the car, a 22-year-old female driver and 17-year-old male passenger, both from Prince Albert, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist. Muskoday First Nation Fire Rescue and EMS were also present on scene.

The highway was blocked during the on-scene investigation, but has since reopened.
