Emergency crews responded to two vehicle incidents in the city Saturday.
The first was a motor vehicle accident at around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Territorial Drive and Highway 16.
RCMP, WPD Ambulance and North Battleford Fire responded to the scene, with NBFD sending one pumper and three firefighters. There were no injuries.
The second incident happened around 3 p.m. when crews responded to a passenger vehicle fire at the 700 block of 101st Street.
Again, RCMP, WPD Ambulance and North Battleford Fire were on the scene. NBFD sent one apparatus and three firefighters and were on scene for over 40 minutes.
The fire department is reporting that there was major damage to the interior of the vehicle. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, although RCMP report a cigarette is believed to be the cause.
