At City Hall on Monday morning, the flag was raised to proclaim United Way Month in the city of North Battleford. On hand for the flag raising was Mayor Ryan Bater as well as Sharon Mohagen and Jenna Russell from the Battlefords United Way. October is typically the major fundraising month for the United Way, and despite the challenges of COVID-19 their fundraising efforts are indeed a go to benefit a number of local agencies. Mohagen said Canadian Mental Health Association will be delivering the United Way brochures this month, and Oct. 21 is their annual Coffee on the Run.
