NORTHEAST — Police have confirmed human remains found near a vehicle were that of Ruby Barnes.
The 64-year-old woman, who has Arborfield connections, went missing from the Carlyle area on June 18. Police said Oct. 26 the body was identified during an autopsy by the Provincial Coroners Service by using dental records.
The vehicle, which was registered to Barnes, was found on an isolated, rural property near Bangor, Sask. Esterhazy RCMP were contacted Oct. 22 and determined that the vehicle appeared to have gone through a T-intersection and into dense bush and was not immediately visible from the road.
