It was a routine 24-hour period for Battlefords RCMP as they responded to just under 20 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 and 6 a.m. Firday, Jan. 10.
Thursday
7:27 a.m. - 23-year-old male arrested at a residence on 96th Street after members responded to disturbance. Subject has been charged with uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. He remains in custody and was to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Friday at 9:30 a.m.
8:34 a.m. - Truck reported stolen for 110th Street. Recovered shortly before 10 a.m. in the city, found abandoned a short distance away.
9:10 a.m. - Vehicle reported stolen from Clark Drive. Located abandoned in city by owner a few hours later.
9:15 a.m. - Abandoned vehicle recovered on 104th Street. Not reported stolen, however, ignition was tampered with.
10:30 a.m. - 39-year-old woman arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, after notification she was in violation of her electronic monitoring bracelet and was located in an unapproved residence. She remains in custody and was to appear in North Battleford Provincial court Friday at 9:30 a.m.
12:23 p.m. - 911 call of an assault at a residence in the city. Complainant advised suspect had attempted to stab her with a screwdriver. Name of suspect, address of assault and name of complainant she provided were all incorrect. Subject was eventually located at a residence on 12th Avenue, not injured. A 47-year-old man was arrested a short distance away with incident. Both subjects know each other and both were showing signs of severe intoxication. Man has since been released from custody facing several charges and on conditions which include no contact with the complainant.
10:49 p.m. -Report of intoxicated male causing a disturbance on 103rd Street. 26-year-old man located and arrested.
